Consider your Direct Selling business. What’s keeping you from reaching your full potential? Is it your mindset? Are your thoughts spiraling around past defeats or disappointments? Do you compare yourself to others? Do you wonder if you’re going fast enough, leading effectively enough? Are you growing at the pace you desire? Do you desire to be a more effective leader?
Are your thoughts pulling you down? Or are they raising you up? Consider this idea: Thoughts are things!
I was introduced to this phrase in my early 30’s when I read legendary personal development author Napoleon Hill’s landmark book Think and Grow Rich.
I read one of his most famous quotes and was awestruck: ”Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve. Thoughts are things!”
Hummmm! Really? This phrase really grabbed my attention, so I decided to post it in my office. I wasn’t 100% sure what it meant for me, but I knew it was powerful. I also admit to editing it a little – my version read:
“Whatever the mind of woman can conceive and believe, she can achieve. And Leslie … I’m talking to you!”
As I continued to build on my daily practice of personal development, I learned to become aware of my thoughts and beliefs, and how they were impacting and creating my life. I learned that what I think about, I bring about. And, even more significantly, what I think about all the time creates my reality.
And, of course, the reality we create with our thoughts can be positive or negative – and we get to choose the thoughts that fill our minds!
What about you? As you build your business, do you find yourself shrinking or playing small? Or do you take bold action, filled with confidence in your abilities?
When it comes to your leadership style, do you have limiting beliefs around your self-esteem, your self-worth, or your self-deserve? Or do you lead with inspiration?
I know I may sound like a broken record – but I say it over and over again, because it is true: You owe it to yourself to find 15-30 minutes every day for Personal Development. The #1 key to improving any area of our lives is the ability to understand who we are and take a proactive posture in how we think, respond and react.
With a commitment to daily personal development, you can take a proactive role in turning your self-limiting thoughts into those that support your unlimited possibilities. Get ineffective thinking out of your way and put positive thoughts into your mind. Remember, thoughts are things – the things that create your reality.
So go ahead, step into your greatness! Remind yourself how amazing you are and that your potential is boundless. It’s your time!
