Thanksgiving is just weeks away. This is a special time of year when we enjoy some festive time with family and friends and lead with gratitude.
You may be thinking it can’t get here soon enough, and yet, this year the Thanksgiving weekend falls precariously close to month-end. When you come back on Monday, there will only be three days left to close out the month.
I recommend you pick up the pace RIGHT NOW and do your best to reach your monthly goals before the holiday weekend. With that in mind, let’s review my Top 5 Tips to successfully navigate November on your terms!
1) Make your month BEFORE Thanksgiving
Take time right now to review your monthly goals and make a commitment to reach them by November 23 or sooner. Set your goals for organizational volume, title and income. Then create your plan for talking to new people, attending events, sponsoring new business partners and enrolling new customers. Schedule sufficient time and commit to reaching your goals before the holiday.
2) Embrace Consistency
When you stop talking to new people for any length of time … you lose your ability to authentically and enthusiastically share your stories. Your prospecting skills get rusty. You begin to come from a position of desperation, rather than genuine passion. Champions choose consistency! When you CHOOSE to be INconsistent … you are choosing to self-sabotage your success. It’s excruciating! So don’t do it!
3) Share your Stories
Never underestimate the power of a well-packaged story to enable you to briefly and enthusiastically share your passion for your business and your products or service. Why do we share our stories? To create interest. Champions package and memorize their stories so they can deliver them on cue … authentically and effectively. So be prepared to make the most of every opportunity!
4) The Fortune is in the Follow-Up
As you navigate through the holiday month, you will continue to meet new people, spend time with friends and family and come into contact with people every day as you simply live your life. Champions do not miss an opportunity to set a follow-up appointment. Meeting people is good. Sharing your story is better. Enjoying the follow-up is best!
5) Control your Calendar
Do you resist scheduling your hours of operation? Every cycle of the year has its own unique benefits and distractions. The secret to staying consistent with your Direct Selling business is to make strategic seasonal adjustments to your hours of operation. Do not ‘wing it’ or be REactive with your efforts. Champions are PROactive and schedule specific time to focus on their business.
Work with your Sponsor or someone in your upline to put these tips to work for you. If you take action now, November can be a record month for you in all areas: sales, sponsoring and organizational volume. Do you question that?
I am confident that come December 1, there will be hundreds, if not thousands of Consultants in your company who enjoyed a record month in November. Whether you are one of those Champions depends on the actions you take today.
I know you can do it! Find the joy and navigate November on your terms!
